It is that time of the year again.  You find a baby turtle in your yard, road, field, etc and want to keep it as a pet.  Is that a good idea? NO

May and June Turtles are hatching or laying eggs.

Please leave the wild turtles alone they do not do well as pets and some are against the law to make as pets.

If you find an injured turtle call Wildlife in need at (262) 965-3090

Baby Turtles, unlike mammal or bird infants, are completely on their own from hatching. If you find a baby turtle in the road, do not feed it. Transport the the baby to the nearest body of water to release.
